About the Show

I created the Merry Little Christmas Show as a way for children and teens to celebrate Christmas through dance and musical performance. It is a family friendly show featuring performers from ages 3 to 18. Being a part of the Merry Little Christmas Show is an excellent solution for children and teens who want to learn fun, high-energy, and age-appropriate song and dance routines without committing to a whole year of dance lessons.

Each Merry Little Christmas Show participant will receive a T-shirt and full costume (usually including tights and shoes).

About the Classes

Each class includes a cardio warm-up, stretching, across-the-floor exercises, and introduces basic technical dance terms to familiarize newer students to the world of dance. Students will get exercise and build their confidence in creative movement by learning a fun routine or two within the session.

About the Director/Studio Owner

My name is Marisa Montierth and I love teaching children and teens to perform even more than I love performing myself (which is a lot!). In my opinion, dance should be fun, great exercise, and a chance to interact with others without it being a huge investment. I have always enjoyed music and dancing, and believe dance is for everyone.

I have been performing since I was a little girl in various dance teams, choirs, competitive cheerleading, and Showbiz (a local performing group), where I am a choreographer. I began choreographing for peers and younger children when I was in high school, and continued during college at BYU in Provo, Utah, where I graduated with a B.A. in English/Editing. I've taught jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, theatrical dance, and basic gymnastics technique with 3 different studios. I live in Danville with my husband Rob, daughter Fara, son Emmett, and daughter Tessa, who also enjoy music and performing in family room dance parties.
